Session Title: Speech Recognition Options for Computer Access

Session Description:

Students with a variety of upper extremity motor deficits may benefit from speech recognition for more efficient text entry.  Additionally Speech recognition can be used for hands free access to the computer.  Strategies for training students will be reviewed.  Students with voice and vision deficits will also be addressed.

Session Title: Developing Switch Access: Cause/Effect and Beyond.

Session Description:

Students with severe motor disabilities often develop cause/effect switch access skills but are then unable to transition to scanning for communication or computer access.  This session will focus on solidifying cause effect activation and then making the transition to scanning to allow participation in curriculum and other activities.
